As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ( May Allah's peace , mercy and blessing be upon you ).. :)

Why Muslims fast on Ashoora (10th of Muharram)?

It is Mustahab(recommened) to also fast on 9th or 11th of Muharram along with fasting on Ashoora (10th of Muharram)

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiallahu anhu) (Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fasted on the day of ‘Ashoora and told the people to fast, they said, “O Messenger of Allah, this is a day that is venerated (treated with great respect) by the Jews and Christians...” Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Next year, if Allah wills, we will fast on the ninth day.” But by the time the following year came, Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had passed away..

_ [Sahih Muslim: 1916]
--------------------------------------

Reward of fasting on the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram ) :

The Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "For fasting the day of 'Ashoora', I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that
--------------------------------------------

Narrated Ibn'Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah and found the Jews observing fast on the day of 'Ashura (10th of Muharram)... The Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ)(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them: What is the (significance) of this day that you observe fast on it? They said: It is the day of great (significance) when Allah delivered Moses and his people, and drowned the Pharaoh and his people, and Moses observed fast out of gratitude and we also observe it. Upon this the Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: We have more right, and we have a closer connection with Moses than you have; so Messenger of Allaah muhammad (ﷺ) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed fast (on the day of 'Ashoora), and gave orders that it should be observed.

_[Sahih Muslim, Book of Fasting, Hadith: 2656]

****************************
_ So In Shaa Allah we will try to be fasting on the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram ) Along with another day in combination ..it may be 9th and 10th of Muharram { or } 10th and 11th of Muharram ..its up to one's choice but mostly preferable to fast on ( 9th & 10th of muharram ) or else 10th & 11th of muharram but make sure in a combination we fast i mean two days (9th & 10th muharram ) or 10th & 11th muharram) so that we should be different from jews ..thats the main reason behind it .... Allah knows d best and May Allah Reward us ..Aameen.. Jazakallah ..Remember all in ur prayers... :)

As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ( May Allah's peace , mercy and blessing be upon you ).. : 😊 Frnds plz do read the entire post i know its a bit lengthy post but plz take few minutes ... 😊

so topic is Significance of fasting on the Day of Arafah (9th day of Dhul-hijjah month (month of Hajj (pilgrimage visit to Makkah)) and when to keep Arafaah Roza (fasting) (The Day Of arafaah)

Arafaah Roza is that day when hajjis enter into plains of arafat , So whoever knows the day in Saudi Arabia (makkah) when hajjis (people who r in pilgrimage visit to makkah ) are entering Arafat then he/she should fast that day itself ..So tommorow (11th sept 2016) is " Day Of Arafaah" in Saudi Arabia (Makkah) n some gulf Countries too .. 😊 (but in india its 8th dhul-hijjah ).. So those who dont know when the Day of Arafaah is then they will fast on 9th dhul-hijjah (i.e on September 13th ) {For people in india} i hope am clear to all ..

according to hadith we have to fast on " Day of Arafaah" ..so day of Arafaah is when hajjis enter in plains of Arafat in makkah (So its tommorow 11th september in makkah .. So if possible plz fast bcoz in makkah it will be 9th dhul-hijjah only (i.e september 11 , 2016) but for people in india it is 8th Dhul-hijjah na so i guess am clear to all .. So i think its better to fast on both days (11th september n 12th sept too for people in india... so that we dont miss the Day of Arafaah Blessing na ..n may allah knows the best and Reward us.. n also if u take d Hadith then Prophet Muhammad Used to fast first nine days of Dhul-hijjah so in shaa Allah there will be no prob if we fast like dis ..May Allah knows d best

Hadith { Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) records of teachings says } about fasting on " day of Arafaah " :

It was reported from Abu Qutaadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He said, "It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year." (sahih Muslim)

and also According to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) " It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The Prophet muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays.. (Abu Dawood)

i hope am clear to all ... May Allah Forgive us n Reward us ..Aameen.. Jazakallah ..Remember all in ur prayers... 😊

* In shaa Allah maghrib of Thursday *1st September 2016 n hijri calendar -29/11/1437 (for Gulf people) Dhul-hijjah (month of Hajj) starts &

in Shaa Allah for people in india it may be from maghrib of friday *2nd september or maghrib of saturday *3rd september Dhul-hijjah (month of Hajj) starts but am not sure .
so plz check abt d moon sighting and islamic calendar too when d month of Dhul-hijjah Starts ok n also who are living in other parts of the world too plz check wid ur location abt moon sighting too ok :)

and am saying this bcoz it will act as an Reminder for the people that Last Day to cut hair and trim nails anyone who has the intention of offering a sacrifice(khurbani)..

For those offering sacrifice(khurbani), it is sunnah of the Prophet muhammad ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) not to cut hair or nails from 1st day of Dhul Hijjah until the sacrifice(khurbani) has been offered. ..

What must the Muslim avoid during these ten days if he wants to offer a sacrifice(khurbani )?

The Sunnah indicates that the one who wants to offer a sacrifice must stop cutting his hair and nails and removing anything from his skin, from the beginning of the ten days until after he has offered his sacrifice, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When you see the new moon of Dhu’l-Hijjah, if any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, then he should stop cutting his hair and nails until he has offered his sacrifice." According to another report he said: "He should not remove anything from his hair or skin." (reported by Sahih Muslim)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hazrat Umm Salamah Radi Allahu anha se riwayat hai ke RasoolAllah Muhammad ﷺ ne irshad Farmaya :

Jab tum Maah Dhul-Hijjah Ka Chand Dekh lo aur Tum Mein se kisi ka Qurbani karne ka Iradah ho to usey Chahiye ke wo (Janwar zabah karne tak) na apne jism ke baal kate aur na hi Nakhun Tarashe

As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ( May Allah's peace , mercy and blessing be upon you ).. :)

Benefits and virtues of the First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah (month of Hajj ) ( Last month of islamic Calendar )... so plz refer to islamic calendar to check which is the starting day of month of Dhul-hijjah ok (as of all know it varies on different locations as per moon sighting so plz check ) and

Among the great seasons of worship in islam are the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, which Allah has favoured over other days...

Narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (Radhiallahu 'anhu) (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wassallam) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days.” They said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah?” He said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah, unless a man goes out himself for jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.” _(Sunan- Abu Dawud : Volume : 2 , Book of fasting : Hadith 2432 ) ..

These Ten Days of Dhul-hijjah include Yawm 'Arafaah (the day of 'Arafaah) , on which Allah perfected his Religion. Fasting on this day will Expiate for the sins of two years ..

Also it has Yawm AL- Nahar ( The Day of Sacrifice Or the day of EiD ), The greatest day of entire year and greatest day of Hajj , Which Combines Act of Worship in a way unlike any other day..These Ten days Include the day of Sacrifice and Hajj (pilgrimage) ..

JazakAllah.. and Remember all in your prayers ... :)

As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ( May Allah's peace , mercy and blessing be upon you )..

my dear frnds..i request you to read d post completely plz..thank you. :)

What is Ramadhan (arabic) ?? (most commonly known as Ramzan in some parts of world)

It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar..Muslims worldwide observe this as a month of Saum (fasting) because its mentioned in Quran-Chapter 2, verse-183: " O Believers, the Fast has been made obligatory on you just as it was prescribed for the followers of the Prophets before you-to help you to become pious and develop Taqwa(Taqwa means God consciousness, fear of Allah, righteousness)..

and This annual observance of fasting is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Importance of Ramadhan in islam ?

"Ramadhan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).."
-(Quran , Chapter 2, verse -185)..

Fasting the month of Ramadan is an obligation and a great worship. It is among the best acts of obedience. According To Hadith(prophet muhammad(sallalahu alaihi wassallam) {peace be upon him sayings } say that Allah said: The reward of every good deed is multiplied from ten up to seven-hundred times–except that of the Fasting–which is usually done in sincerity, will be multiplied by as many times as Allah wills..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who should fast ?

Fasting is fard ("obligatory") for all adult Muslims, except for those who are suffering from an illness, travelling, pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic or going through menstrual bleeding ..these people can skip their fasting according to Quran and Allah Almighty doesnt want to put difficulties on these people so these people can skip their fasting but have to fast that were missed later on...

Remember me n all in your prayers (dua mein yaad rakna mujhe n sabko.)

As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ( May Allah's peace , mercy and blessing be upon you all ) :)

frnds i Request to read d entire post plz ok.. so coming to the topic : People usually only discuss ‘hijab’ in the context of women. However, in the Glorious Qur’an, Allah first mentions ‘hijab’ for men before ‘hijab’ for the women. The Quran mentions in Surah Noor:

“Say to the believing men that they should lower their eyesight and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.”
[Al-Qur’an, chapter 24, verse:30].....
{ The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he should lower his eyesight...

The next verse of Surah Noor, says:
“ And say to the believing women that they should lower their eyesight and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.. [Al-Qur’an, chapter 24, verse:31]...
